That’s right. Start meme grabbing all your favorite alts. As of this last month, I noticed some key changes with Facebook’s AI systems. Me being me, I figured I’d jot a few notes to share with y’all.
First off: the Facebook trace system is now unbeatable. I tried. Over and over. In all ways known. No matter what crafty avenue I pursued to make an alt account, my efforts were all in vain. I enjoy a challenge and never shy away from trying to best an intelligence system. Sadly, those days are gone in Facebook-Land.
They have an extremely powerful name and identity locator. To the point where known records and birth certificates have to be sifted through. Once a name is flagged, you’ll be asked for identification. There’s no getting around verification. I used to be able to glitch that part out, but of course Facebook fixed the bug.
Plan B: “Borrow” an identity from the “internetz.” Also a failure. Included in their AI is not only the most powerful reverse imaging system I’ve ever seen, but there’s an additional operation that seems to hold a database on known identities. Living and dead. (Yeah I might’ve tried both, don’t judge me.)
If you somehow manage to get past those gates, there is another algorithm that compares not only all your banned profile info, but commonalities in wording, character traits, and especially your friends list. Those keen on getting banned know the first thing you do is visit your banned profile to gather up your friends list. Apparently Facebook knows the game too.
Take it a step further. Don’t request your friends. Comment only on friends with public posts. Still no bueno. Facebook has found a way to compare commonalities with public interactions as well.
If the alt account isn’t deleted when the connection to your real account is made, the sock account will be banned for the duration of your real profile’s ban; and that’s if you’re lucky. Making the point of an alt moot.
For the coup de grâce, Facebook has included an additional attribute to their systems. Regardless of a VPN being active or not, they have the ability to trace your signal to any device you own. If that doesn’t give you goosebumps, nothing will. There is no hiding your true VPN anymore. But go ahead and try. Mother of God, please prove me wrong.
If you currently own a sock account, I recommend you save anything you don’t want deleted. Yesterday. If your identity gets reported, or the AI system flags it, your profile will be toast in ten minutes. The carefree days of avoiding bans are over.
Let’s pour out some memes for our fallen trolls.
